Landscape Photography Techniques

There are some technical tips to make a good landscape photography:

RAW

Always use a form of RAW file, not the other. We would be very happy if we can easily to modify the image using photo software. Therefore, the easiest thing if we want to modify a result of the photo is by having a digital negative film. Negative film is digital RAW files.

Composition

Find the location of a most we like and we believe that it is the perfect place to make a landscape photo. We have to find a location that is really good for compositions in which we must pay attention to the foreground of an object which we will take her picture.Without a good foreground, the background of the object will not draw any background, although as beautiful as these.

Tripod

To take a photograph of a landscape need low ISO (50-100) to obtain low noise and excellent color saturation. However, low ISO also means slower shutter speed. Well, to cope with a slow shutter speed, we ought to use a tripod, for photos that we produce will not shake (shake). Tripod wrote also have not enough, we must determine the exact position of horizon. Where is the horizon that we make should always be straight, not tilted to the left or right. When we struggled to make a straight horizon, we can use a plastic spirit level, Sebuat tools that we attach to the hotsoe (holder Blitz) camera. That way, we will always get a straight horizon.

Filter

If we are ready, we push the shutter relase it, click. And, we’ve got a photograph of a landscape. But once seen at home? Loh kok? Light really? The color of the sky are brighter than other colors? Oops inih why? The answer is a filter. Why filter? Yes,. We can use a neutral filter, great klo we use neutral density filters. We can also use circular polarizing filter (CPL), which will get better results, because pencahayannya flat and can eliminate the reflections caused by glass or water.

Aperture

To get the sharpness of images for all areas, use the aperture between the F11 – F16, but depending on the camera that we use also ding However, we still have to use the aperture under the F13 for a photograph of a landscape to avoid the diffraction images are too soft.

Time

The best time to get a photograph of a landscape is at the time of the “Golden Hour”.When was the golden hour? Yes,. This time is approximately 30 minutes after sunrise or 30 minutes before sunset. However, we can also get a dramatic dark cloud or a large white cloud with sunny skies yangbiru. Of course, we must make absolutely sure that the time that we use is appropriate.

Patient

We must take the time and meticulous. Where we have to see what diviewfinder kitaliat same object we will photograph. We must pay attention to lighting in the photos for the results that we will really get the maximum. The key is just one patient.
Camera

Do us a good camera? What is a good camera that will always be expensive? Hmm,.My colleague once said, “in photography that money does not lie” What is the meaning?Yes, .. meaning of course, we must use an adequate camera or a good camera to get good results too.

White balance

If you use RAW, (should) we do not have to worry about white balance settings on the camera. Because we can modify later using photo software.

Shutter Release

Use the shutter relase cable or wireless shutter relase, to avoid camera shake on when taking photos. Usually for a few cameras that “good” these enhancements are sold, whether that third party or a similar brand of camera. If we do not have a shutter release, we can use the delay on the camera

Still Life Photography

Photography has several categories, could photojournalism, documentary photography, sports photography, and others. One of them is the still life photos, namely photographs of inanimate nature, such as sculpture, food, drinks, dolls, miscellaneous small items from ornaments to beauty products.

Although the shooting object is inanimate objects, take a picture to be a good photo and contains art was not as easy as we imagine. Especially if we have to make these inanimate objects become “alive” or contain.

What is important in this case is the lighting, the light falling on objects that our portraits. Generally, the shooting still life done by using artificial light, the flash for example. Set the light falling on the object in such a way to move them or how to move the pan, lift, rotate the object so that the lighting was found best. This is one of the natural ease of photographing inanimate objects in which to determine the direction of proper lighting on the object, the photographer just do it by sliding, lift or rotate.

In illuminating the object still life lamp position and number of lights used will determine the success of “turn on” inanimate objects are. Therefore determine its placement with respect to the object to be photographed correctly (look for the lift, rotate and move it) and do the basic theory of radiation exposure based on the correct and appropriate desire to achieve results as expected photographer.

Explanation of the Light and Metering

The professional photographer before taking pictures, they always measure light with a special tool called Light Meter. This tool is a light-sensitive sensor and can count the number of shutter and aperture values for various situations, either bright or dark. Necessarily the same light as measured by the light of the object (called the incident light) and become the benchmark how bright the ambient light at that time. That so-called metering, according to the professional photographer.

We are accustomed to using modern and versatile automatic camera certainly strange with similar gear. Because in the modern cameras are available that facilitate and metering facilities are also available various metering modes such as Center Weighted or Spot metering. DSLR cameras even capable of displaying a light meter scale on the LCD screen (and in the viewfinder) so as to indicate whether the shutter and aperture settings that we set in accordance with the measurement camera (see picture below).

For most cases, the camera is capable of metering equipment to replace the function light meter that expensive special. When using an automatic camera (camera phones, pocket cameras, etc.), metering the camera will start working when the LCD screen displays pictures and continuously evaluate the condition of light until the shutter button is pressed half. When the button is pressed half, metering will be locked (AE lock) and also auto focus (AF-lock) until the button is fully pressed before photos are taken. The majority of photos taken by automatic mode gives the right exposure. In some cases there are times when metering is missed, a little dark or too bright, we can compensate with the Exposure Compensation to the minus or plus.

Beginning at first birth of a word, PHOTOGRAPHY.

Beginning photography comes from the Greek.
-Fos, which means light.
-Grafo, which means the paint.
That means painting with the help of light. Photography is the process of producing a picture or photograph the object by recording the reflection of light on the object. The camera, a tool to catch the light. without light, a photo will not be visible, allowing the dark.

Photography has a principle, namely memokuskan light with the help of refraction so as to set fire to medium light catcher. Lens, is a medium that had been burned with light luminitas exact size will produce identical image with refraction of light entering the medium.

Now photography has grown, the cameras are in production, have the expertise of sophisticated, so it can produce bright images with high ISO without noise.
